Thanks for your interest in joining Friends of Orianna Hill Dog Park, a wonderful member-led initiative! It’s a great place not only to exercise your dog, but to meet neighbors, who as fellow members of the Park, are collectively working to improve our neighborhood.

All human users MUST register to use the Park, and all dogs must be properly registered and wear a FOOHP dog tag in the Park at all times, so that unregistered dogs can be easily identified.  Dog walkers may only bring properly registered dogs into the Park, and each dog walker must register to use the Park, even if the dog walker is not bringing his or her own dog.

Memberships run from January to December, and must be renewed annually.   A $50 minimum annual donation (per person) entitles you to a Voting Membership, which makes you eligible to run for the Board and vote in elections, and to participate in voting members-only events.  Remember, your tax-deductible donation allows us to maintain and improve Orianna Hill Park, a nonprofit, member-owned park that receives no funding from the City.

Starting in 2010, new member registration and/or renewal involves two-steps:

  1. Online Application. First, all prospective new and renewing members must complete an online application.  Donations, including the $50 annual membership fee to be a Voting Member, are to be made online as part of the online application.
  2. Member Orientation. Second (after completion of the online application), ALL APPLICANTS (including renewing members) must attend a member orientation session to complete the registration process. 2010 FOOHP dog tags will be distributed at the end of the orientation session. You must wait until you attend the orientation and receive your tag(s) before using the Park.

Further, all Members must agree to certain Conditions of Membership, including following the FOOHP Dog Park Rules and signing up for and serving on a committee.  If you do not agree to these terms, you will not be able to be a Member, and will not be able to use the Dog Park.

Replacement Tags: There is a $5.00 replacement fee (per tag) if you lose your tag(s). To request a replacement tag, please email the Board Secretary at FOOHP2010@gmail.com.
