Orientation Basics
As part of the application process, all NEW applicants must attend a member orientation session (renewing members who previously attended an orientation need not attend again). Our goal is to put all members on the same page by giving consistent information about Park Rules and Responsibilities.
The member orientation sessions, which are for humans only, will be held at the NLNA Community Center, which is at the corner of N. 3rd Street and Fairmount. The orientation will last approximately 30 minutes, and includes a short presentation from a dog trainer. Because the session is so short, if you are more than 5 minutes late, you will not be admitted and will be asked to return for another orientation.
If for some reason you are unable to make your scheduled session, please email FOOHP2010@gmail.com, and include the alternate date you plan to attend.
Orientation Dog Trainers’ Contact Info and Handouts. At most orientation sessions, a certified dog trainer will give a brief presentation on dog park basics. If you would like to follow-up with the trainer that participated at your orientation, or would like to download the handout provided by the trainer at your orientation, check out our “Dog Trainer” page.
