Orientation Sessions
Orientation Basics
Starting in 2010, as part of the application process, all applicants (including renewing members) must attend a member orientation session. Our goal is to put all members on the same page by giving consistent information about Park Rules and Responsibilities.
Registration involves a two-step process. First, all prospective members must complete an online application, on which applicants will choose a specific orientation session to attend. Second, applicants must attend the orientation session, at the end of which 2010 FOOHP dog tags will be distributed.
The member orientation sessions, which are for humans only, will be held at the NLNA Community Center, which is at the corner of N. 3rd Street and Fairmount. The orientation will last approximately 30 minutes, and includes a 10 minute video and a short presentation from a dog trainer. Because the session is so short, if you are more than 5 minutes late, you will not be admitted and will be asked to return for another orientation.
